Star Theory

Star theory is a theory created by Dyer, Star Theory sites that a star is not the person themselves, but rather an image created by the media, they are artificial images, made by advertising etc. A star is constructed through the image they are portrayed with in the media, even if they are seen to be 'real'. This is done by advertising, photos, videos and their music. A good example of the effectiveness of start theory is Lady GaGa, as she has created a persona that appeals to her vast audience.
